The conference generally aims to increase knowledge about strategies, policies, and governance frameworks for promoting development, adoption and upscaling of climate-smart land use practices at local, national and regional level in the ASEAN region. The conference will consist of plenary sessions with expert inputs and facilitated discussions and parallel sessions where specific aspects of the focus topics will be explored.
The conference is being supported by the Climate-Smart Land Use in ASEAN (CSLU) project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft for Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). For this purpose, the CSLU project collaborates with the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and several other partner organisations.
