The ASEAN Climate Leadership Programme (ACLP) 2021

Building on the successful implementation of the ASEAN Climate Leadership Programme (ACLP) in 2020, the ACLP 2021 again offers opportunity for participants from all ASEAN Member States to enhance their leadership skills in initiating and facilitating change processes and collective cross-sectoral transformative action in climate-smart land use.

The ACLP is designed as a contribution to the work of the ASEAN Climate Resilience Network (ASEAN-CRN). In 2021, the guiding theme is  Promoting Climate-Smart Land Use for Implementing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). The programme continues to support the implementation of the  Vision and Strategic Plan for ASEAN Cooperation in Food, Agriculture and Forestry (2016-2025), as well as other ASEAN frameworks related to climate change and land use and contributing to achieving the countries’ NDCs.

The ACLP is being supported by the Climate Smart Land Use in ASEAN (CSLU) project, which receives funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in close cooperation with the ASEAN Secretariat. It is being  organised in collaboration with the Southeast Asian Regional Centre for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and will be facilitated by experienced coaches specialised in leadership and change theory.
